Dragons... This is a touchy subject.

Dragons are great creatures. Extremely powerfull in all the myths and lores ive ever heard of them, but in uo? They are pansy peices of shit.

So i was thinkin, Why not boost dragons to a point where you need atleast 2 people to kill one.

I mean comeon, a boring normal trip to destard would become an epic fight against a bunch of dragons.

I mean, you bring in 5 people and try to take on 2 at a time, or some sort of thing like this. Or you could create a custom dungeon, with amazingly powerfull dragons scattered around...

Oh shit top of the moment idea!

Make a bunch of superpowerful drakes, like 2 spawned at a time,

This is a dungeon crawl idea.

You spawn 2 drakes, uber strong, and you and your group move through the dungeon, killing the patrols of dragon spawns.

Kinda like a riktor champ.

Have all type of dragon spawns and patrols come by and at the end. A huge room with riktor in the middle, (of course renamed and SUPER UBER STRONG)

You could make it have like 500 mil health, do uber dmg, and acually require a person or 2 set specifically for healing the Main TANK!

Thats right i said it! Organ fuckin nized parties bitches!

Just like WoW!

Have some crazy fun dungeons, where it takes atleast say, 5-8 people to clear through, then have a boss that takes 5-10 people to kill.

I seriously think this would strengthen the game, making communicating, interacting, talking with other players on the server a must.

Also, the respawn timers on these things would have to be a good amount. Like 15 minute respawns.

Of course the loot would also be boosted for these creatures, maybe even dropping some of their own, rare items.

Anyone like this idea? Want to add some shit?

Go ahead.

Opinions apreciated.

Pulled most of this crap off of WoW, i love WoW, and UO. And mixing them could make gaming Ultimately Wowing fun.

Yeah I find lot of stuff in UO is weak. Take horses for example. If you tried to hit a horse irl with a sword, you'd hurt it, but in the end, it would probably kick your ass. And dragons are definately too weak.

Problem with changing this though is making tamers way too powerful (too easy to use) and rikktor spawn would be next to impossible to do. But to compensate there are various other types of dragons like AWs and such, I could simply spawn more of those.

yea thats why i said it was a iffy subject. then i got the idea of a completely new dungeon.

And with that new dungeon, you could put special untamable dragons in it.

That was pretty much how i solved the tamer issue. Just make the hard ones untamable.

Wow... I completely forgot about paragons. Those would work perfect. Paragon riktor as the final boss :P

Well, Dragons in old school OSI are like current Paragon Dragons. Ask any old school character, they'll agree. Hell, EoO, Con Weapon, Slayer, and Crushing will one-hit a dragon. I doubt you'd one hit a dragon in real life with a piece of metal about the size of your gentile (refering to a dagger).

I say alter the current dragons to get paragon dragon stats, and that will buff paragon dragons as well.

Now that I think of it, dragons should be more powerful then hiryus. How can a dragon bird thingy be like 5 times more powerful than an actual dragon? lol What I can do is buff dragons, but give them stat loss upon tame, like hiryus. I'll basically double or even tripple their stats.

The only problem with that would be the rikktor champ. Maybe make less dragons spawn at the final levels?

Yeah was thinking of rikktor as well. Unless I make something called a weak dragon and make them the regulars then just edit the champ spawn to use the weaker ones.

Make a dungeon that NEEDS 5+ people to do. Something that NEEDS teamwork, and something that needs organization of some sort. Something that needs cross healing, tanking, and leet sauce dps.

You know, everything the gauntlet should have been but never was.

I grew up in a very small town, and I seen an Amish guy punch a horse and almost knock it right out. i think he had 120 wrestling.

Haha wow and 120 tactics with max DI and str:P

The demitel bosses somewhat require team work and as I work on improving them they will definately be something that take at least 2-3 people and probably more. Think crystal demon is at that point. If you've seen the remains of it's critical attack, it takes some work before you can even get to the boss itself. Some of them are still too easy but I'm slowly buffing them and adding special abilities.

Making a complete hard dungeon would be cool too. Mind you some of the dungeons I've spawned quite a lot of nasties, just need to look around, most of them are spawned and if I missed one page and I'll spawn it. With the champ spawn modifications we can afford the extra spawned mobiles.

You obviously were not there when we were trying to kill the paragon blood beast this afternoon. It took like an hour! Such awesome teamwork; too bad I had to leave right away after...

I would recommend doing that. In Semidar's champ spawn, strong mongbats are used instead of the ones found in the wild (Can you really tell? lol). What you can do is create a new dragon spawner that has beefed up versions of dragons (Similar to the old renaissance days when a dragon would hand you your head, then your ass just to show you who has the bigger balls). Then you can keep the modern day dragons the same for the rikktor spawn.

Stronger bone structure, stronger muscles and stronger claws. In other hand, hiryus lacks magery ability. If you followed that logic, an ancient lich wouldnt be stronger then a demon. (ALs can kill daemons in two FS's)
Dragons are already pretty strong, its the players that have way too much power. Try killing a dragon without chivalry and slayers and all 70, just all 40 from magic resists, its nearly undoable.

Yeah I remember when I did not have arties or slayers, they were harder. Would be run, take a few shots, run away to heal, come back etc. Now it's curse weapon, leech leech leech dragon is dead. :P The beefed up versions could simply have more hit points and resists.

I might have to agree with brunus on this one. Back in the days of uo, platemail was the shit and if you had a broadsword of vanquishing, you were the shit (If you lost it, you banged your head against the table). That being said, things were easier to get and you could make a good suit in a few days, but the enemies were more balanced and some things were considered fierce. In the days of old uo, a balron was something to keep your distance from, lest it find you, kill you and wait for you to come back to swipe your platemail helm from its goat legs. Guess that's the way uo has evolved. We now have super items that give us more padding, protection and power. That's why enemies like to UOML goonies were made.

Back in the days of old school UO, everyone used Studded Leather. Platemail took off too much dex, Studded was the best. Maybe light archer. If you wanted the hardcore shit, I had a Silver Surpemely Accurate Kyrss of Vanquishing. THAT was the shit.

Now, Old School UO, no one even HEARD of Balrons. And the ones who did shit their pants. Actually, WWs made most people shit their pants. LOL. And when you went over to your body after you died to loot it, we didn't have that gay ass "You quickly gather all your items". We didn't have insurance either. That's uber shit there man.

Ah. Hybrid.
