i just noticed that i can stack granite in my backpack...
... but not in my bank.

I had to "fake" the stacking on it because the client does not support it, like when you drag an item on top of another, its the client telling the server to stack, but if client does not support stacking for that item it wont happen. To force it to happen server side you have to drag in a bag that has granite in it, so you could put a bag in your bank then drag on the bag.
To unstack double click it and it will put some in your back pack. The sand works the same way. I don't understand why OSI has not made those stackable.

No, those are better left unstacked. However, I did hear of seed box scripts so that's always a possibility to organize it that way.
As for sand and granite stacking, it's cracked that OSI never stacked it (Then again, this is OSI we're talking about).
