Permanent staff position opening [content DB updater]

There is a permanent vacancy to be a Content DB updater. This is similar from the temp position a while back.

Basically your job would be to check updates and update the ContentDB as needed. So if a new artifact is added in game, or a cap is changed, it would be you who would update it in the DB.

Your job would also be to complete adding what is missing, including taking screenshots of items and sending them to me named after the ID of the item. (I'd explain this further).

So if anyone is interested send me a PM. I will decide in a few weeks who will be the candidate, or if I even do hire or not.

Note that this would be completely voluntary, but would earn you a special forum title.

*maybe* this would also earn you access to AoV's code, but not sure about that one yet. Reason I would do this is it would be easier to update content with access to code.

I've been really busy (going to be moving out soon + working on website migrations + event system) so I have not gotten around to figuring out who will be hired and making preparations such as adding logging to the system and better password management features.

So It's still not too late to apply by PM only describing skills and why I should hire you. Basically its like a job app but don't worry about the resume. :P

This will be decided whenever. No set date.

Also, anyone who keeps asking will probably end up at bottom of the list.

Think of if you applied for a job and you kept calling to ask if they made a decision, looks real BAD on you... same here.

I am only guessing at who that pertains to, but Tony and Apple wanted me to ask you if you made a decision yet...

Decided to not have this position. Sorry!

I got motivated to start doing some of the work and so has been Death so we'll just do it ourselves. Less HR management overhead that way. :P The multi user setup of that system is not the greatest as it was never designed for that.
