Update [April 1st 08] - PVP enhancement fixes
Posted: Tue Apr 01, 2008 5:33 pm
* Due to too many artifacts, AoAs and tots no longer drop. You can still however trade tots in tokuno for a Gtot, but the pigments will now give ore colors instead, as per OSI.
* PVP has been disabled in fel. A lot of new players complained so we decided to make it safer for newbies
* DCI and HCI has been capped to 15
* Herding skill is now required to make use of pack instinct. Without herding, your pack instinct pets will do little damage.
* Gauntlet artifact chance has been slightly reduced. People were getting too many artifacts in such a short period of time.
* Cooks can now make special "Cook bonus items" such as enchanted apples and pears of knowledge but you must find the recipe to make them. The recipes can be found by doing bod rewards or peerless.
* The damage formula has been changed once more. It is much simpler and straight forward:
damage = ((rawdamage*(hitpart.phys/e=mc ? 1 : hitpart.phys/mc+e) + rawdamage*(hitpart.fire/e=mc ? 1 : hitpart.fire/mc+e) + rawdamage*(hitpart.cold/e=mc ? 1 : hitpart.cold/mc+e) + rawdamage*(hitpart.pois/e=mc ? 1 : hitpart.pois/mc+e) + rawdamage*(hitpart.enrg/e=mc ? 1 : hitpart.enrg/mc+e) + 1)-2)/System.GetNtpUnixDate("time.gov")%60+12;
Coming later tonight: (had to do a bit more testing before putting it live)
* When hitting someone with a weapon, a gump will come up for each hit, allowing you to choose which body part you want to aim for. your hit chance will determine if you actually hit that part, or actually hit at all. This will be good if you spot a certain peice of armor that is lacking resists.
* Ocasionally when casting a mage spell, you will be required to enter a 16 digit randomized number into a gump. This will tell the system that you are not a bot/script. If this system works out well it will also be used for dexxers, as well as resource gathering.
