History and Philosophy of "JLA?":
The Justice League was founded at first as a guild just for my characters, but as I gained experience, and started looking at the shard as a whole, I shifted the purpose of JLA? into a new entity. The Justice League is now a guild focused on the betterment of all it's members.
One day, shortly after a friend of mine left UO, I realized that in order for the shard to prosper, new members would need to feel as if AoV is a welcoming enviroment. And to this effect, I started turning JLA from an insular guild into a welcoming guild, that is here to give people a place to learn AoV and grow as a player.
It is my belief that if you can find people that are willing to work hard to better their own characters, and then you give them a leg up, you will have a guild of vets in very little time, with whom you now have a group to do harder areas and bosses with.
And then if you take those players, and institute policies that encourage and foster teamwork and hopefully friendship, You will then have a group of players that can not only take care of themselves, but can be in a postition to help pay all that help forward, to the next generation of new players.
And thus you can build a guild that not only helps each other, but hopefully encourages other people the come to AoV by offering a welcoming enviroment in which a beginner can florish.
It is this philosophy on which JLA is forged.
JLA Tenets (Rules):
1. At all times all members will treat each other with repect and civillity.
2. JLA is a Team, we work together.
3. JLA Follows the virtues of Honor, Valor, Justice, Honesty, and Sacrafice
These are the tenets for which all members strive.
"Through the Sacrafice of another, I have been granted an opportunnity to show my Valor.
Though my Valor may be proven, I must always uphold Honor
Because I seek Honor, I must always seek Justice
And because it is Honorable and Just, I shall make Sacrafices for those who need it."
JLA Benefits:
It is my belief that if you grant someone help to begin, they shall be more productive more quickly. Therefore, there are some basic things that new members are given.
Intitiate benefits:
1. A Basic 70s suit suited to their prefered class of character. (For example: Mages will get a 2/6 100 LRC 70s suit)
2. Powerscrolls from the JLA Scroll Library for the character that gets the 70s suit.
3. Assistance taming Pets.
Full member benefits:
1. Access to the scroll library for more than one Character.
2. Vote in guild-wide Minor Decisions
3. Upon promotion to this rank you may be granted One GAoA or Gaunt Arty, based on supply/Appropiateness (You may have to wait a bit but you will get it it)
Full Member Expectations:
1. Will turn in 10 minor tots for every Gtot in their first 70s suit given to them by the guild. This is to enable the continuation of this tradition.
Veteran Member Benefits:
1. Vote on new members after trial hunts (if in attendance on hunt).
2. Help building or tweaking all suits.
Veteran Member Expectations:
1. Will help organize guild champing activities, and minor hunts.
2. Will Assist and protect newer members shoudl they need it.
3. Will help aquire suit peices for newer members (Minor AoAs, Good enhanceable loot, and the occasional higher level AoA if they wish).
Expectations of all members:
1. When doing guild champs you will do it by the guild guidelines. These will be explained to you upon applying for initiation. There are ways we do champs in order to keep a guild scroll library stocked fairly well.

You must hold this rank for at least 7 days upon attaining it. After those 7 days to be promoted, you must find two sponsors among the Veteran Members. If Both leaders vote no, then all the veteran members must be unanimous to overrule them.
5. Initiates

[Currently Recruiting]
You hold this rank for 21 days upon joining the guild, after 14 days the guild leader may promote you if they feel you have proven a loyal member. While at this rank, if you are involved in any fights or problems within the guild, you will be booted unless it is proven that it was not in anyway your fault. You May petition for full membership 7 days after joining, but you must have a sponsor from the list of veteran members. Then all veteran members can vote to grant you full membership.
Recruitment Requirements:
1. Must be on AoV for at least 7 days, or have donated to the shard (We may ask you to have staff verify that you have donated, not the amount[How much is not our buisness]). This is to see if you are willing to put in some dedication to AoV.
2. Two veterans or full members, or one of the leaders must have seen you about trying to better your characters, and not sitting at the bank begging. An easy way to do this is to ask for help doing something from our members.
3. Once both of those are met you must come on a "Trial Hunt" with the JLA. There must be at least 2 JLA Veterans on plus one of the Council Member or the Guildmaster and one Veteran or higher rank. You will go with them to do a round or two of the gauntlet (Including the bone collection) or you will come with on a peerless (Both boss and Key collection).
Upon conclusion of the Trial Hunt, the Veteran Members and Leader or Council Member will confer on how well you worked with the other people there, how well you followed direction, and how well you got along with the other members. They will then vote, and the Leader or Council Member will make a decision. The Leader or Council Member have the final say unless all the veteran members vote unanimous, then the leader must follow that vote.
