Ok, goiing through a bunch loot from some of the IDOCs recently, i noticed a lot of older crafted armor with Lower Ammo Cost, and I see it on the [aosprops screen, but with all the massive amounts of stuff I've crafted and all the loot I've found, I haven't seen it anywhere. Has LAC been phased out? If not is there anyway to make it a little more likely to craft it?

Think it was removed from armor and only applied to weapons but don't quote me on that. Red also might not have included it as a property in the loot tables as well, he'll have to check.

It used to be in the loot/runic table but in lot of cases it was useless as it really only affects archers. so I decided to keep it as an arty only property. So stuff like quivers have it, and possible future artifacts.

Well, if it is kept for artys only then perhaps intensity for thiings like Quiver of Infinity should have a bump, since 20% LAC when you probably wont get any elsewhere, just dont mean much at all, If it really is only on arty's then your think the Quiver of Infinity would give you 100 LAC.

the LAC really messed up some good looted items, and it seemed to appear on 50% or more of the moster loot.

There are plans for some non OSI artys and some may have higher LAC intensities. Think QOI is the only OSI item that has it, and yeah 10% is not that much.

Yea, 10% isnt very Infitite. Was just saying if you arent gunna get it elsewhere, when you do get it it shoudl be a lot, since in reality, its just a convience mod, with being able to insure quivers you dont really NEED it at all.

Could make it only appear on bows (Looted and crafted) and set a cap at 30%.

Actually is there a masterpiece resource for that? Think just having that could do, and would give it more value as well.

Yes but it's not created yet. It's an uncommon resource that's a "bow only" one so there's a few checks that need to be done. It will be available later in the week.

Well I put together a 52% LAC suit without a bow of infinity or a chest peice with LAC. Now I just need to find me those things and I might get close to having a sucky archer suit that never runs outta arrows. WOOT! (Sometimes when your bored you just gotta do silly things like my a LAC suit.)

So is LRC. You don't NEED it, it's a convience mod too but I can't tell you how many times I've had a player page me and ask if I could spawn an archer or banker so they can get more arrows.

Thats Because Apple/Dragon always wants someone else to do the work FOR him, if he runs outta ammo because he didnt stock up BEFORE hand its his fault for running out.

And as for LRC it ISNT just a conveince mod. You can insure a quiver, there is NO way to insure your regs, just an LRC suit. This means that if you use regs and die in the field you are SOL (No Healing after Res OR casting to defend yourself) until you get your body back and ONLY ok if a mob didnt loot one of your regs, thats why LRC isn't just convienent, its needed.

LAC is superfluous to insured quivers, fill that sucker up, insure it and BOOM you res and you are right back in the heat of it even if you can't make it back to your body right away.

In short, running out of arrows on the battlefield is just bad planning, using regs on the battlefield, is a thing of the past, LRC is a necesary mod because you can't insure regs.
