I'm not sure if I officially mentioned this, but a neat artifact to have would be an artifact look deed. How does it work? Basically it's a deed that lets you change the look (and possibly the color) of a certain artifact. With it, you can change the hat of the magi to look like a divine countenance or a bear mask, but have it retain the same stats.

yup, same mods but looks different. Like you can have the hat of the magi look like a dragon helm.

This would probably require some gump scripting, but I could look into this. Would most likely want to make it so you can't change the layer. (ex: hom leggings) which would further complicate the script. But can't see why it's not doable.

Armor = OK
Weapons = Nay.

If you change the itemid of a weapon, it will keep using the same specials from the real form. So you can have a cleaver looking like a bow and it will still use infectious and bleed.

Actually no, it would show the bow specials, because that's processed client side, but it would not let you use the specials. I tried making a wep with custom specials, but you can't make it so the client shows the right specials, it still shows the ones associated with that itemid.

So yeah this would only work for armor.

But there's another issue

I have leather gloves, and I wanna change them to plate gloves. But now they're plate, are they still med? What deed do I use to repair them?

Yeah those are all issues to look into. This won't be too easy. Probably one of those things for the "after ml todo list" :P

I thought of the weapons changing thing as well. It would not work on weapons because somebody might try changing a sword to look like a bow or something. At least with armor, armor is all one type of class (heads always being heads) whereas weapons can be swords, forks, blades, bows, etc.

Well, it sounds like this would be a huge amount of work for not so much in return IMO.
