Update [Dec 07 07] - mob/ai tweak + misc stuff

* mobile "on think" now runs for an extra minute when nobody is around. This means a few things will happen that did not before (when nobody is around):
- any onthink special abilities will continue to take affect (ex: abilities that are set to onthink)
- mobs will continue fighting
- Mobs will continue to move around - this will also fix the familiar issue where a familiar gets stuck at a teleporter or moongate if you run too fast.
- Mobs will continue casting spells such as heal/cure. etc
This change was to add a bit more realisticness to things. Mobs wont just totally freeze when nobody is around, well they will, but only after a minute, giving them time to walk around instead of being in exact same position as they were left.
* Talisman craft bonus now applies to recipes too
* Revenants casted by creatures can now be dispelled with chivalry and magery.
* Fixed drag/drop exploit which allowed to move unlimited amount of stones/items from one place to the other using 2 characters - the stuff will now end up at your feet instead of bouncing back to original container. This bug actually exists on OSI.
* Fixed crash issue with runes going to non existant houses
* Added wood boards in the event stockings to compensate for the loss of wood during the time it was bugged.

I'm guessin' this is either the problem, or the solution to pets running off into a corner after they were done killing something. (with the All Kill/Attack command)

Just a heads up, avoid dragging items on NPCs if theres people around, there seems to be an issue with the exploit fix which causes the item to go on the ground instead of in your backpack. I'm looking into this right now and will issue an emergency fix, as this could be very major.

I have, it dispells. O.o At least from player to player, as NPCs don't cast necro spells on demise...do they? They are hard, but doable.

I meant revenants casted against players on demise by other players.

Yeah. Quite cool, but how long did it take them to put a new one up? More than half a year.
If they're gonna read my post, I know what they'll say. They're volunteers. They do it for free. Blah! Blah! Yeah right! Anyway, back to the factory!

Haha yeah, well we do it for free too, and we're 2 coders. Now that they did the website (or more like downloaded and installed a vb template) they might fix darts in a couple months.
Funny though, thats like at least the 4th time they change their website this year.

I doubt if they'll be able to fix the darts in a couple of months; probably in a year or two.
Pardon messieurs, I haven't seen any significant change for months.

its still crashing every 2minutes or less, what this has done is noone bothers loggin in anymore as you cant do anything.

watch out, it works with gold and your bank box. IE: you go to pull out 6000gp but accidentally hit 60000, then try to put it back. If your cursor is over another stack of gold, a spellbook, or anything else that causes stuff to bounce back the gold will go to your feet.
also, bank checks are not blessed anymore. Not sure when this was changed but I always thought they were supposed to be blessed.

nvm on the bank checks. I tested it and they are blessed, they just dont have the blessed tag on them.

about that bug... avoid disarm mages....
When your wep gets disarmed and you try re-arm it, if your char is still under the effect of disarm your weapon goes to ground.

maybe the exploit wasnt as bad as the consequences of the fix. I hate to put it that way, but someone moving around 60000 leather isnt nearly as bad as hector losing some of his bows.

well that was not suppose to happen. What pisses me off is I test these things like crazy, and theres ALWAYS something, or what works in test wont work in live... happens all the time.
I'm more concerned about the server crashing every 2 minutes right now... The HDD is pretty much full from the crash logs.

There's always exceptions which makes the testing difficult to think of every possible scenario.

yeah, dont get upset cause you didn't think of the 1000000 different circumstances where the code will be used. believe me, I work in a job where you have to remember about 100 exceptions to every rule. Shit happens, you are only human.
