i just recently got a bloodwood one and now after i used it couple times i noticed it is.... totaly crap.
I get same results with is as i get with yew runic kits, which seems totaly wrong.
I dunno if this is intented but it seems not to be working AT ALL.
Also enchanting weapons is a joke, most of the times you get nothing, and wheny ou get something (other than color chance) you get like +2DI and this has nothing to do with the actual effect of the wood.
Iam not quite pleased with this as i just wasted bloowood charges + ive been wasting some extremetly good bows with ehcnating which still seems to be doing absolutly nothing, also ive wasted bloodwood for this.
It is not exactly right that you get better bow more easily from monster than by trying to craft it with ridicilous hard-to-get bloodwood runic kits + bloodwood.

Like blacksmithy, enhancing will only really add extra DI (if you have arms lore) and maybe change damage type, and only wood that changes damage type is frostwood. (40% cold 60% physical I think).
The intensity of the properties is really pure luck, but I can double check and see if its consistent. I pretty much copied the intensity values of metal.

Actually come to think of it, don't think it does. Its coded for BS only, just remembered that.
Really the main reason to enhance is that it makes the bow look cooler and a few points of DI can always help.

well, couple of di yes but when it should provide the weapon with its special abilities, uostuff.com and search for woods, atleast thats how i understanded it.
Also try to make something with the bloodwood runic fletching kit and youll see how crap it is comparated to how damned hard it is to get bloodwood and the kit, plus the quest which you need to do to get that kit can also take like +300 wood..
seems pretty ridicilous as you can get same type bows (witouth bloodwood hue) at orc captains.

Arms lore should probably affect the carpentry/bowcraft weapons as well to make things fair. We should check out the kits to see if their intensities are correct and make sure that the bonuses are stacking and not being overwritten.

Probably wont be able to today. I have to go freeze my ass off at my sister's house. They always wait last minute to put up the Christmas lights, and her roof is a PITA, its half eavesdrops half not, and the clips are the wrong way once you hit the part that has eavesdrops. Not to mention the part where you have to go on the roof, which is pure ice, and falling would involve getting impaled on a pine tree, but only after getting angles twisted by nicking the overhang on the way down. Fun!
