I can't gaurantee that I'll have items to give out. However, I'm more than willing to help anyone get started with new characters on good PvM templates and doing basic champ spawns and stuff.

I'm Dumples or Dumplmancer in-game.

Ok So I am new to this server I played OSI servers (Catskills) for 10 years before quiting and I miss it so I was reading on Uocoders and saw a post from Missy Moose and decided to give it a try. I have a few questions like how to use the pub chat system and does 8x8 work and if not what is the best way to train magery and what not and just in general a good place to train and get gold. My icq is 82170152 just give me a Q i leave it in away mode so if i am there i will talk.

Hey welcome to the shard. :D

Theres no 8*8 here, and skill gains are rather quick. You can most likely gain on even a single spell. (tbh never tested it fully)

Theres also newbie skill deeds so you can keep those for later when you are 100% on your template then use it on the hard skills like taming, poisoning etc, or if you won't want to be bothered trying to make a 100 lrc suit you can use it to gm magery, chiv, etc.

I have already gotten togather a lrc suit. So my next question is pvp wise what are the (gimp) temps (most played) how are mages EX. wrestle mage vs. parry mage and how are 4/6 chiv dexers you konw that kind of stuff and how well do heartwood saws and fletchers kits sell. if you havent noticed trying to plan it all out to make money the fastest way and get a pvp template up

also can you train magery like on osi servers by casting on a parrot.

Fellow Catskills vet, played since T2A. I don't like counting years.

Best way to train magery is via a LRC suit. Just set up a razor macro to cast Earthquake every five second. Let loop overnight.

Dexers tend to be better than mages on this shard, because magery has been slowed down significantly. But, all classes are still viable.

Heartwood, Bloodwood, and Frostwood saws/fletcher kits spell decently. If you want money, just farm the Vorpal Chicken for a little while.

Boat trick still works. Willing to give you a boat to do it with. But, not too much worry on it. Skills and Stat gains are insane here. Squirrel's logic is why macro skills when you can play.

Anything else?

Parrots are invul here so you can't cast on them, but you can train with a lot of other spells like EQ as mentioned.

I also try to balance things so if a new gimp tactic comes up I find a good way to stop it, so it does not ruin pvp.

Chat System:

Type [c, then press Enter. Once the new gump appears, click the tiny, golden, circle in the top-left, then click on Public. AFter that, right click on the gump twice (x2) to get rid of the gump, then to talk in Public, type "[c msg" sans ".

You got the basic chat system explanation, I'll retell you what I said concerning PVP templates.

so what is the slow cause on osi it is 2/6 for mages and chiv without magery on temp is 4/6 if it has mage above 80 then goes to 2/6. and the type of dexxie like archers or 4/6 chivers or dp poisoner/chiver

p.s. pardon me if I ask alot of questions I just like to be well informed and know what I am doing before I jump into it cause I would like to get into pvp as fast as possible. Just need to get the right temps running ex. a money maker a mage/necro (possibly peacing if the timer is still broken [osi server using sacrifice] if that does not work then spellweaving) and then finally a good pvper. so trying to figure it out so i can go about it as fast as possible

2/6 here is slower than 2/6 on OSI so don't try to compare. I'm not sure about a 4/6 chiv/<xxx> though.

just mostly the small spells. if you don't use any type of scripts/loops its not noticable. all spells are capped at .3ish cast time so stuff like MA cant be casted at .1 sec.

You're still capped at 0.3 secs per spell but thats all there really is in terms of casating. Most chiv spells wont hit that anyway so its not really an issue.

You can buy an LRC suit with 100 LRC from the general vendor in the Gate Library. Also comes with a nifty 5 MR/10 LRC talisman. That alone is worth the suit.

woot that alone is the kind of info i need the stuff that is different. :>

ok so the next thing I need to figure out is I need a dark wood suit and a 100% fire sword weapon with self repair if i cant get the darkwood togather somehow a 70's suit with mana regen would work to.

and also another question does the golem trick work ( getting a 100% poison weapon the ntell a golem to guard you attack it then tell it to stop then guard again to gain weapon skills. golems are strongest to poison they only take 1 hp per hit so once down a little use a gift of renewal on it to gain its life back) if so then that is the next task.

Don't see why it wouldn't, unless it's poison resist is over 100. If it's resist is over 100, it actually gets healed.

I used the golem trick way back in the day on Catskills. It should work here, but its also very easy to just go to fel and beat on another acct.
