Before you panic, I'm not doing what the title says without anyones input.

Ok with the new bod system, bods will still be used to a certain extent. They'll mostly be for resetting the quest timer. So you do the quest, get your reward and a bod. You can do the bod and bring it back in for a minor reward and also reset the quest timer. This will allow you to take the quest right away rather then wait.

So to avoid a sudden influx on the rewards (which will be easier to get) I'm thinking of global deleting bods. Ones that are already partially or fully filled will not be deleted.

This would prevent someone with 50k bods to have too much advantage of the new system. Though since the quest still requires some work, its not like the person gets stuff for nothing, so I don't see it as a huge issue.

So I want to get player's input on if you would want all bods to be deleted so everyone starts off the same, or no, keep existing bods.

My personally preference is keeping them, though deep down, something tells me I want to start this system off fresh.


If this took place, I would give plenty of notice.

I concur. You should know that I am not a bod or crafting player, but I still have worked and acquired a decent supply of both reset and higher level bods. If you do delete them, I would suggest a reward be put in place for the deleted bods. Just taking stuff away from players is not something that most people will tolerate. I am FAR from being a crafter or enjoying the crafting system and I would still be very upset if my bods were deleted. Now take into consideration someone that puts a lot of effort into the crafting side of the game... They would be pissed off about 1000 times worse.

LOL teach me for going afk? everyone in uo is afk pretty much everyday he claims anyone standing in a tailor shop afk is collecting bods fuck that i was in a rush and had to go play a show , so i left my chars in the same spots from when i was collecting bods all day using the bod bug.
i bet even one of ur chars stands in luna afk , thats close enough to a tailor shop so watch out you might get banned.

He had the script running, it jammed because his bag got full, but he still had the script, that is afk resource gathering. And whether I caught him late, or before the script jammed, he was afk resource gathering. What I normally do to test is remove a bod from the bag, if I see another one appear after some time, then clearly a script is running afk. I do this while visible so I should expect to get some sign of movement.


For the original topic, the way it's looking is I won't be touching existing ones. Unless of course, you are caught AFK gathering them.
