For those of you who remember my daughter "wasting time27":
She had neck surgery this past Saturday to repair some discs that were pressing on her spinal cord. The MRI showed some permanent damage to the cord, but we don't know yet how that will affect her mobility. She has been gradually losing strength in one of her legs and in her hands, along with having all sorts of sensation problems. We're glad we finally found the cause, but she has a long recovery ahead of her.
She is not going to be able to live at her current residence since there are too many steps, so we invited her to come back home until she is authorized by the doctors to climb steps.

That’s horrible! I’m glad they found the cause, and I hope there isn’t too much permanent damage.

Wish I knew about this sooner. I hope everything is going well and will pray for her mobility to swiftly return

She's limping around the house fairly well, but she still uses a walker when she goes to the store and other places. Overall, her recovery is going smoothly. She's planning on staying at my house until the end of May.
