Wow this is getting really bad. This is sad to have life ended so early and in such a brutal way.

Makes you wonder if teachers should be allowed guns, and be legally allowed to kill someone who is threatening in that matter.

Wherever he is now, it must be freaken hot, and I'm not talking about California.

absolutely, if you have checked in on the news lately, there are more than usual reportings about that kind of thing.

Actually, Red. It'd be a cold cold place acording to Dante.
Kretschmer bore a deadly grudge against his old school, where he had been in trouble for bullying in the past.

Former classmates said he had never had a girlfriend, and it is possible he had become frustrated after being snubbed by girls at the school.

"It's striking that it was primarily girls who were shot," said Heribert Rech, interior minister of the Baden-Wuerttemberg region.
Yeah this kid shouldn't have done it. But I don't think he deserves the worst punishment. I think the bullies do. You can't expect somebody that hates himself as much as bullying can cause to be sane. I'll type more later, but it seems that all these shootings have roots in bullying.

EDIT:
okay, now i'm in theology, supposed to be doing a project on theft, so i can type more.

Anyways, obviously this kid was troubled by bullies. People don't just walk into schools and shoot classmates for sport. There's a reason.

EDIT: I had more here but i've said it all already.

Hell no to the first part. Second, are you not allowed to shoot back in Canada? Cause that's stupid.

Obviously they'd have to have to go through special training and all that. I've seen some teachers that are VERY stupid and I would not want to see them with a gun.

But it's not really fair that students are allowed guns (or obviously not blocked hard enough) while teachers can't.

In fact teachers are not even allowed to TOUCH kids. It's retarded. They need to be more strict.

The US has brought it upon themselves by making guns so easily available and legal though. It would be too late now to illegalize guns, but they really need to start getting stricter about it. When a 17 year old has access to firearms and can walk in a school with them, there's a BIG problem.

i totally agree with that, the gun laws here are VERY unenforced. In columbine, I beileve it was a 15 or 16 year old who had acsess to guns, bomb-making supplies, knives, ect.. I think it is careless of the parent not to keep gun cabinents locked and secure, especially when your kid has emotional problems like that.

This was especially scary because he wasn't even enrolled in the school, he was wearing a GASMASK, for God's sake, and had a trenchcoat on. Nobody noticed ubtil he started shooting?!?! *sigh*.

God be with the victim's families.

Things like this need to change too:

http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=how+to...le+Search&meta=

Yeah, it's THAT easy to find information on comiting acts of terrorism. I'm sure you can search deeper on proper fragmentation techniques to ensure the bomb is as harmful as possible due to projectiles.

Guns are even easier, just go pick one up at walmart and make sure you have enough ammo. It's scary, really.

Paragraphs. Insert paragraphs. . .
(not that it would be worth the read anyway)

The Columbine shooters were 17 and 16 I believe.

Young and unstable. It's hard to think rationally when you're treated like an ugly dog.

One issue is today's world is too stressful. Some people just can't handle themselves and go insane. I personally think I'm fairly good to deal with stress, but I see lot of people around me who are stressed all the time. The work place can be very pressing at time, and school is only worse. To me school is WAY too pressing on students. I think the entire system is flawed and needs to be redone.

Now stress is probably not the #1 factor to drive shootings, but it's probably part of the equation. You will also always get crazy people who do it just for fun, with zero motive.
