I had a wierd nightmare last night. I remember being half-awake, laying on my my belly with my head facing my opened closet. I remember hearing three voices, distinctly different, but each in a whisper (unfortunately, I don't remember what they were saying). Then the voices went away and I felt like someone was pinning my my bed - I couldn't move or breathe. I was finally able to move my head and then the sensation went away. My head was still turned towards my closet and I saw one of my few light-colored shirts move. Immediately after this, I felt like I was being pinned to my bed again. This time, once I moved and broke the sensation, I got up, turned on my light and went back to sleep. I don't have nightmares often, but when I do, they leave me feeling creeped out as hell. Maybe I'll be revisited by this succubus tonight....

Maybe the three people holding you down represent society holding you down, and the light-colored shirt in the dark closet represents the parts of yourself you're afraid to show to people because it's odd. And society is holding you down, not letting you express said things.
They let go of you until that shirt moved (you started to show your inner self); then they pushed you back down again, so you'd stifle your inner creativity or thoughts.
My interpretation. You may call me Joseph if you wish.

Those half awaked dreams are creepy. It's been a while since, but sometimes I'll sort of wakeup paralyzed and be staring at something in my room and I get this intense feeling something really bad is about to happen, like some freakish looking face is going to pop up in front of me. I have to kind of shake out of it. It's messed.
Then theres the ones where you wake up in shock, followed by the cat jumping 5 feet into the air with a WTF meow.

Or maybe. . .you just had a really weird dream.
Recently I've been working on model tanks, all of them Leopard 2s. And last month I had a dream I was in this huge ice cave filled with water and, get this, Leopard 2's sitting on blocks of ice floating around! They were taking target practice at something way down in the cave that I couldn't see. Got any ideas what that means GG?

It means you'll be drafted to war soon!
Maybe prepare to move to Canada, and fast!

The fact that you're not dying in this frigid water lets me know that you feel secure in the place you're in. The Leopard 2's on the ice blocks are fighting the other things in your life other than working on model tanks. You're comfortable in your little swimming hole building your tanks as they protect you from the things in life you may be trying to avoid. Maybe this hobby is an escape for you? Cause when you're by yourself building those tanks, you're totally safe and nothing can hurt you (except maybe a super-glue accident...
). So maybe you're hiding from real life things behind your tanks. They're protecting you from life. And the fact that you can't see them might be that you fear the unknown? And they're protecting you from a fear of something bad to happen?
You may still call me Joseph.

sounds like you experienced,
Night terror
Sleep paralysis and/or
Parasomnias
common sleep disorders, ( I have no idea how liberly 'common' is applied ) - however I might imagine that some will experience one disorder or another sometime in their lifetime, others and explainations of sleep disorders can be found here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_disorder
I had experienced Sleep apnea ( which includes 'snoring' ) - however in one particular night I had woken up to the inability to breath, and was only able to take very shallow breaths, this induced 'panic' however 'speaking' and moving' was very difficult.
eventually the sensation went away, however it wasn't near fast enough.

Yeah Sleep paralysis is what I get once and a while. Does not happen often or intensive enough for me to worry too much though.
