AOL has ended support for Netscape Navigator.

I feel empty.

Google informs me that we actually have a Celebrity “Centre” in Nashville with protesters! I wonder if not-at-all-gay Tom Cruise ever goes there.

Netscape, though: I’m concerned about the comments from Netscape users saying they will not migrate. Unmaintained software is a security risk.

I’m all for choice and whatnot, but I personally considered Netscape irrelevant with the birth of the Mozilla Organization, especially after Firefox (or whatever it was called at the time) and Thunderbird took an end-user focus. I haven’t used Netscape in years, but the name still warms my heart. It introduced me to the Web, after all.

Yeah, that’s when I used it too. I remember seeing “damn” on a Web page and telling the computer lady about it.

haha same. Netscape was the first browser I ever used, then I found IE and I thought it was "better" so I switched to it, then later on I found out about mozilla and opera and never looked back since. (used both for a while as I could not make my mind up lol)

I still remember the Nescape Communicator Icon, was a lighthouse with a circle of light thingy coming out of it.
