Which part is cubed?
And that's not written right:

x-5x+4x-6y+9x. . . .and that's where I stop. Is it (2+5)^2 or what?

yeah, some better notation would help immensely. Is this an equation with an = sign missing or just a 'simplify the expression" deal? I need to see it exactly how it was written, and please use the ^ symbol when dealing with exponents, i.e. 5 squared = 5^2, 5 cubed = 5^3. Parentheses are very important as well.
