Parents dont really care but im debating wether or not I should get a tattoo. Nothing huge just maybe a tribal arm band. The only problem I see if I work out and im afraid it will stretch as my bicep and tricept get bigger.
What do you guys think? Should I get a tattoo or forget about it?

And when you're 80 won't that look horrible. Then there's the possibility that you'll get AIDs from the needle. And remember, there's no cure as of yet.
But sure, get one if you want. WE can't really stop you.

You're not going to get AIDS from the needle. Any modern tattoo artist is going to be extremely careful about sterilizing his tools, we're talking hospital grade stuff.
The real trick is finding something personal and meaningful that you won't regret when you're 80. That's why I've yet to get any tattoos, but I've thought about it a number of times.
Generally though, if you are not sure about it, then don't do it. You can get tattoos removed, but it's hideously expensive, and will likely leave traces of it behind, so it's better to err on the side of caution. Besides, although it shouldn't, visible tattoos can be a negative when it comes to trying to find work, and generally you will have to have them covered at all times if you work at all with any customers.

Yeah... feel free to conform to the trend and then regret it in 10-15 years like most other people. Did you know tattoo removal is a booming business? And as Manadren said, it is terribly expensive.
Also, like Manadren said, if you're going to do it, go for something meaningful. Personally, I think tribal tattoos (along with kanjis, dolphins, and dragons) are pretty meaningless and lame, but that's just me.

Yeah get something that you know will be meaningful to you when you're 80.
so that means:
no girl friends, or just friends or anything else that can change.
I always laugh when someone has a tatoo of some girl's name or something, but they're not even together anymore.

Lol, something meaningful that cant really get replaced are the names of BMX company's that I have on my bike you know bike parts, sounds kind of corny but its meaningful. I was thinking having them around my left arm with a design around the outside. Nothing huge, small texts. The names are: The Shadow Conspiracy, MacNeil, Animal, and Odyssey
That or maybe Aquarius in a different language? You were right manadren. It is hard finding something meaningful.

Who cares about your birth symbol? As for the BMX company names, that's almost as bad as buying a house and then getting the names of the realtor and previous owners tatt'd on yourself. Sorry, just sounds super lame to get the names of businesses inked into your skin.
Stop trying to rationalize getting a tattoo and get one. You'll probably regret it later, but it sounds like you really want one, and so you probably will anyway, just like all of the other short-sighted people who get them and then regret it. Besides, if you were really getting a tattoo for the "right" reasons, you wouldn't care what anyone here thinks.

Dude, you should get a tattoo. I mean, you and your friends will laugh at you afterwards and you get to put a picture of your new and still bleeding awesome tattoo online, and you get to be center of attention on the fourum for a couple minutes, plus your girlfriend will be impressed and you'll look uber manly.
Sounds good? Then get a tattoo.
EDIT: This is Flowergirlajg. I was on my brother's accound accidentaly.

I agree 100%. My girlfriend wants to get 3 tatoos when she's in college. one has personal meaning, the others are just because she's wanted them for a long time. But i can't convince her not to get the other ones >.<
