i just joined this site yesterday, it seems like it's got a lot of potentinal. unfortunately i haven't gotten a chance to browse the site too much becasue i'm busy spamming other forums by copy and pasting this post on it. posh points is a site for buying and selling as well as scamming, but it's a little different than most because of the scamming part, which is fun. it's based on points instead of money, and of course, scams. you can use money to buy points, $1 = 1 pt, and you buy items that you want on it. you get 15 pts for signing up, and 10 pts for every person that you refer. so if you're looking at an item to get, and you don't have money for it, if you refer enough people, you would have enough pts to get it without paying a thing! you can also abuse this system to get tons of points and well, scam! i don't know yet if you can redeem these points for money, but it doesn't seem like you can. i guess if you were selling stuff you'd just have to buy something on the site that you want with the points you earn. it seems like a great idea if you just plan on buying things though, and with a 15 pt (15 dollar equivalent) start, how can you go wrong?
let me know what you think about it, whether you think i'm stupid for joining, or whether it's a great new type of shopping site!
here's a link to the site:

i just joined this site yesterday,
welcome to the forum
it seems like it's got a lot of potentinal.
We pride ourselves on having more potentinal than any other forum
unfortunately i haven't gotten a chance to browse the site too much becasue my internet connection is so slow.
I think you should upgrade your connection just so that you'll be able to browse the site better
posh points is a site for buying and selling,
Posh Spice was one of the Spice Girls.
but it's a little different than most.
That's a relief
it's based on points instead of money. you can use money to buy points, $1 = 1 pt,
If you send me one dollar, I will send you a piece of paper worth 5 points. You can't use them anywhere, but the paper will look really cool.
and you buy items that you want on it.
I bet you can't buy cool looking pieces of paper worth 5 points.
you get 15 pts for signing up, and 10 pts for every person that you refer.
I'm impressed that you haven't actually tried to get anyone here to be a referral for you. I'm just playing around with your post here, since we do that here with posts that sound like spam, but if the site has items that are actually useful, one could make a lot of points by refering people.
so if you're looking at an item to get, and you don't have money for it, if you refer enough people, you would have enough pts to get it without paying a thing![/quote]
I wonder if they have ways of keeping a person from refering non-existent people. I'm sure Red could come up with a fancy people-generating bot.
i don't know yet if you can redeem these points for money, but it doesn't seem like you can.
If I owned the site, I certainly wouldn't let that happen.
i guess if you were selling stuff you'd just have to buy something on the site that you want with the points you earn.
That most likely is the intention of the owners of the site.
it seems like a great idea if you just plan on buying things though, and with a 15 pt (15 dollar equivalent) start, how can you go wrong?
If there are extravagant shipping and handling fees above and beyond your points, than you could go wrong.
let me know what you think about it,
If I ever actually look at the site, then I'll let you know what I think about it
whether you think i'm stupid for joining,
As long as it didn't cost you any money to join, then there isn't any stupidity involved. Let us know, though, if the site introduces any viruses into your computer.
or whether it's a great new type of shopping site!
I think I'll stick with Amazon.
