Emo people. Most people think they are sick. I personally have a very good emo freind. She is nice. her name is sarah (not reel name). I think emo people are no different than us! Dont stare at them for being differend or weird. I know. I am .. eh hem... weird. But! Please, post ur feelings about emo people.

People who label themselves emo, goth, punk, prep, jock, whatever are placing themselves into a little box because they like the image, to an extent they want the alienation that goes with the given label, and think less for themselves as they otherwise probably would. Granted, that doesn't disqualify any such people from being likable, good, or independent, but by inflicting upon themselves a confining label, they are not only asking for a certain degree of prejudism, but may actually want it, as it will further along their ambition to be contained in a particular stereotype of a particular subculture they want to be a part of. In any case, I have no beef with any such folks so long as they don't patronize people by trying to convince them that they are independent, free-thinking people who do what they do because they want to be 'unique'.

The word "like" can be used in different ways. "It's like totally like racism" (valley girl voice) or "It is like racism" (normal person voice)

I'm sorry, but it just struck me as interestingly unnecessary to add your friend's name to your comment, and then tell us that the name wasn't the real name. Do you think she would like the name Sarah better than her real name? If I was going to make up a name, I would have picked a more emo-sounding name, if there is such a thing.
