I (like everyone else apparently) am more interested in the Wii right now, and will probabaly get one once the things die down a bit. Regardless of what happens in the long run, the Wii will have mario, zelda, and metroid which is enough for me. Also I'm kinda interested in the virtual console. It'd be nice to pick up some of the classics again without having to use an emulator. They just better get Earthbound on there though.
I'm not ruling out the PS3 or XBOX 360 as a secondary system though. But that's a ways down the road. Right now the 360 only has a handful of games I'm really interested in, and the PS3 has jack squat.

I must admit I've been a Playstation nut ever since it was first released, but with the kind of wealth that Microsoft commands it was only a matter of time before the Xbox became the top dog. Slowly I've decided the PS is obsolete.
Wii I am completely uninterested in. They have great ideas but their games lack any adult appeal what-so-ever. I'm sure there are a few Mario-die-hard fans out there who will say Mario is great, but it isn't. The other ninja games and what not are equally as nauseating.
Xbox (not even the 360) is probably the best thing out, despite my hatred of Bill Gates and quality of recent products. Until Halo 3 has come and gone and is overlooked by FPS players, then I'll stick with the Xbox for now.

....sprinkles chicken blood, resurrects thread from dead...
My choices have been Atari 7800, 8-bit nintendo, and original Sega since I got married. I still prefer the Atari 7800 over any of those other ones - just played it again for the first time in ages after getting one little part.
The Playstation is a cool little toy, but never have played a PS2 and very briefly played with an Xbox. Never have touched these new fangled Xbox 360, PS3, or anything else along those lines.

Darn thread necromancers. I actually found me a Wii while everyone i town was a Jerry Falwell's memorial. I've only picked up a few games so far, but Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario are plenty for me right now. I am a bit disappointed in the virtual console selection so far. The mario and zelda staples are out there, but no metroid in sight so far, nor any of the great rpgs from the SNES era.
The Xbox 360 is looking less and less like an option for me right now. I've yet to see enough content that, to me, is compelling enough, and it had a year head start on everybody. I'm thinking though, that at some point, after the eventual pricecut, I'll end up getting a PS3

The Wii has rather poor capabilities, X-Box just annoys me, and the Playstation is my love.
If I ever wanted another console other than the playstation, I'd get an X-Box, but let's just face it people, the Wii is so pathetic.
I'm with PS3 all the way.
Don't fight it, just go with it.

metroid's coming out in august, trust me, i'm a big metroid fan.
in fact, that is one of the only reasons I wanted Wii.

Yeah, got $10 down on a pre-order at Gamestop already. Honestly though, I never really played Metroid PrimePrime 2. I just picked up those games this week (Never had a Gamecube, Wii backwards compatibility ftw). I was (and still somewhat am) hesitant on bringing Metroid into 3d fps style game. I got into the franchise with Metroid 2, so metroid to me means side-scrolling platformer. But I've still only played about 30min into Prime though, so it'll probably just take a while. I'll probably love it once I get over the fps on a console thing.

It's a pretty good game. one reason I like it is because it doesn't focus on ultra-violence, like newer games that have been coming out lately, like gears of war, F.E.A.R., things like that. but Bioshock should be good, despite it's obvious violence preoccupation.
