what browsers are you guys using? why? what do you like, what don't you like?

personally I'm using firefox, I found it necessary for all the popups, xploits, trojans and all the nasty stuff out there. I went to firefox before many current A/V's and even browsers started to auto stop popups. back in my P2 .466 mhz days.

now I have found that firefox kinda 'stalls' on download management, for small pics and large media, more than a couple at a time and it caused instability, so I simply use a download manager now, works great

firefox also has a neat feature of viewing a page's source, you can also view your 'cookies' and delete only ones you want in your tools option. keeping cookies for board settings like this one, so you don't have to re-input the user pass.

i.e. also gave some syntax errors some time back for -errm- somethings put in the url ( just leave it at that ) - there is a fix for it, but firefox never had the same trouble

firefox has become so popular now - I wouldn't mind trying something new. but i haven't gotten around to reading any articles on other browsers.

Firefox.

What i like:<ul><li>Great support for W3C standards</li><li>Free (gratis and libre)</li><li>Nice interface</li><li>Cross-platform</li><li>Secure</li><li>Large, generally nice community</li><li>Ability to stop sending referer headers</li><li>Live bookmarks</li></ul>
What i dislike:<ul><li>Dropping of MNG support!</li><li>Sometimes a bit choppy with SVG and fixed backgrounds</li><li>No page zoom à la Opera (Firefox only enlarges text.)</li></ul>
I’ll think of more later. There isn’t much i dislike about Firefox, but there also isn’t much i dislike about the other non-IE browsers either.

Still Opera for me
Firefox is FINALLY catching up, and becoming more than a backup browser thanks in large part to some really snazzy extensions

That IE thing is an ugly abomination (IMO) that I touch as little as possible and confine to the crash box for my wife's sisters-in-law to use.

I must be getting old I don't like either the new firefox or i.e. 7

set backs with firefox, turned off the full search mode when 'typing' now it only looks for the word, no 'next' option, you must hit ctr F

difficult to turn off tabs

- should have a toolbar .gui (button) to disable/enable java

Me?I use FF and IE.IE for other sites, and FF for neopets.FF is perfect for me.If IE had tabs, IE would be my number one browser.

IE 7 has tabs. You can upgrade if you use Windows XP or Server 2003. (For the sake of Web developers everywhere, please do.)

It's all about firefox!!!!!!!

I love the add-ons. especially ad-block plus. Never see another flashing ad wanting you to sign up for a free iPod. never again have an ad about car insurance take over the page so u can't see what you went to the page for. IE really isn't that good. Even IE 7. it copied the tabs idea from firefox. So if you like the tabs on IE 7 you can thank Mozilla for that.
Firefox is the only browser for me.

IE 7 is horrid though, I actually prefer 6 over it, if I have to use IE. But yes for testing web sites its important to concentrate on making it work in 7... and most importantly, firefox/opera/other standard browsers.
