i read that on aug. 24 mars is supposed to be so close to earth that it will be visible to our naked eyes and will be as big as the moon!!! look it up!

Actually it seems to happen every summer where we can see mars. I dont know about it being the size of the moon, but I know up here we see things differently then in the states, though a dot the size of a star, and size of moon is quite a big difference...

I remember last year we could see it pretty well, at least I think it was mars, might of been a different planet. Maybe I can get a better view from the deathstar terminal screen. I need to upgrade the video card in that thing though, only 256 colors.

un ture , this wont happen AGAIN till December 18, 2007., since it happen's about every 2 year's or so when Earth catches up to Mars as they orbit the Sun last time it happen was on October 29, 2005 now the moon will be visible to the naked eye butt it will not be as big as the moon , because mar's is 130 ++ times further away than the Moon
