is that champ broken? i went to his spawn in fel but there was nothing to kill but the usual orges and ogre lords, is there something special i must do to start the champ?

Most if all champ spawns auto deactivate after some time, so you need to valor them. Will not cost any valor to activate.

On your paper doll double click the circle on top, then a gump will show up with the virtues, then double click the valor symbol (sword) and then the skull on the champ spawn. It will activate it.

You have to click on the virtue symbol that is located above your chars paperdoll. Then click on the Valor virtue button and target the skull in the center of the chap spawn alter.

Once you do this, I would move away as fast as you can so you don't get overwhelmed when the spawn kicks in.

As mentioned before, champions must be activated before they can be done. Every champion altar that exists (Not just in felucca, in trammel/ilshenar etc too) there's a black skull in the middle. You need to summon the champion with the valor virtue. This can be done by

-Opening your paperdoll
-Clicking the virtue button (Star thing) on the top of your paperdoll
-Clicking the sword icon which represents the valor virtue when the virtue window/gump pops up

Once that's done, target the champion skull on the altar and your champ will spawn shortly. The champions are the same as expected in the virtue dungeons (As in, despise always has barracoon and fire always has semidar). In T2A though, the spawn will be random at every spot.

If you kill enough creatures during a champion spawn, your valor virtue will go up. If it goes up enough (Say to knight of valor), you can use the valor virtue again to speed up the spawn (Gains a red candle). It's helpful for when the spawn gets tough.

Also here you can activate once per level, so what I recommend is activate half way through level 1, 2,3 and then 4 to force the champ to spawn if theres not too many mobs near the altar, otherwise kill those mobs and it will summon on its own probably.
