Intel Inside MAC's WTF?

I guess Mr. Jobs decided their relationship with IBM didn't have a future for some reason. But yes, you heard right... funny how now we'll be hearing 'Mac elitists' espousing the virtues of the new Macs with Intels inside where just a couple years ago, they were anti-anything Intel and just absolutely apey over the IBM G5's.

Yes hence why i was shocked I remember Apple running Intel bashing ads. now its Intel Inside, but the key thing is that means all new OS X OS and software should be pc compatible and the other way around. This should make for an intresting next few years.

Well, they came out with an x86 version of OS X a while ago... don't remember what it was called, but it was stripped down quite a bit. As for direct platform to platform portability, I haven't heard that, but if the same Intels are being used on the x86ers and Macs, then it's totally believable.

Oh, and while we're talking about Apple... It's funny, their roller coaster ride of success. They seem to be on the upswing, though. In fact, the company I work for, Micron Technologies, has created a joint venture with Intel to increase mfg production and technological advancement for Nand flash to be used in a number of new products, one major one of which is Apple's iPod, among other mp3 players.
