This isn't exactly about computers, but a DVD player is electronic, anyway. We have one hooked up to our television, and at various times when we are playing a DVD, the screen will go all wavy. Then the camera angle changes, and the waviness goes away, but when the screen shows the same camera angle again, the waviness returns. This was especially noticable when I was watching one of the scenes from the Muppet Show DVD. Granted, it made the scene a bit more humorous, but it can also get annoying. Is this the result of buying one of the lowest price DVD players we could find, or could it be the fault of the TV itself?

If the tv does this only when a DVD is being played and it happens on all DVD's, then it's the player.
Is the player sitting on top of the TV?

Does the signal(video) pass through the VCR before it gets to the TV? IF it does, try connecting the DVD player directly to the TV.
