WESTFIELD, New Jersey (AP) -- At 6-foot-1 and 160 pounds, Jim Pfeiffer is used to being called skinny.
But Pfeiffer's beanpole status came in handy Monday, when the 25-year-old firefighter slipped into a narrow crevasse to rescue a toddler trapped 9 feet underground.

I'm not sure how kids manage to get themselves in dangeraus situations like that, but it's a good thing he was able to save him. Now we'll see diet comercials refering to this.

I remember when I was a kid I was curious especially with construction sites, manholes, and that type of stuff, but I was smart enough not to go where I can get hurt. Well that time I went inside the manhole could of been dangerous but nah, we did not go that far. My friened kept scaring me saying there's washouts sometimes where water comes all of a sudden, but I think he watched ninja turtles a little too much.
