I have been thinking of something for a long time now,call it an inner struggle. I cant stand the hypocrisy and censorship involved with christianity. I have no problem with having a belief in a God or higher power, thats fine. But its the people who use faith as a crutch, or those who enact doctrines to keep others down, thats what pisses me off.

For instance, recently, Marilyn Manson played a concert in Budapest met with much resistance from the predominent Christian community calling his act, "revised satanism". Folks, Manson, like him or not, has nothing to do with satanists, he is an entertainer, he is paid to entertain and gain shock from his audience and the media, and that helps him sell records. all the christian community does is help his sales. And the PTC is crap as well. Maybe if these parents stopped spending so much time on the religious right and censoring material for the children, they could be at home helping their children to discern them from what is wrong or right.

Another thing is stem cell research. Other countries have used this technology to help fight disease, and its come close. The U.S. has so much money we could use to help lead the way in this science, but instead, we cling to the religious right's accusations that such practice is 'evil". I think the evil thing is when you have a possible way to cure something, and the only reason you dont is because people have interpreted a book written by white europeans and passed off as holy document to say so.

Dude, believe it or not, I was listening to MECHANICAL ANIMALS (New Model No. 15) when I opened this thread.

Marylin Manson is a Reverend of the Church of Satan. You may see or hear him referred to as Reverend and this is why. So to say he has nothing to do with Satanists isn't exactly true.
