For some reason the paths are not matching anymore so that's why there's an error on top. I think this is some kind of attack, since the code that's not able to execute is part of the site's logging system, so they probably compromized the server to make sure the logger does not work. I'll talk to my host about getting low level logs to make sure these people get what they deserve, getting DCed from their ISP.

Ok my missunderstanding, the host switched us servers so the path got changed, and he did not get the chance to make the symlink to make the old path work, so now everything is back to normal, and it's not a compromize or any malicious act which caused this.

No but it did look like a hack in, given the latest threats. The first thing any hacker would go for is disabling the logging system. But really I should modify it so if the logging system is not functioning, the entire site does not work.

I remember seeing an “error 404” page earlier today when I tried to visit the forums. Attacks on the site never came to my mind. I just thought Red or the host was doing some work. That was confirmed when I visited the home page and saw a little “if you see this, we are probably changing servers” message.

So, are we running on better hardware? :)

Really there was such message? Interesting. Not sure what the specs are as I have no control over that process. Good in a way, since I'm not really good enough with linux yet to trust my own security in that department.
