This is going to be a major pain to clean up.... I generally dislike spiders to begin with, but this is rediculous. I don't know exactly what I'll do to at this point but I want to get rid of em ASAP!
Only reason I saw how bad this was is because I had a friend over a few nights ago and she wanted to see where my apartment's back door went to. You can see part of the closet door in one of the shots... I'm scared to open it up. Ugh

Well, this morning after finding a big spider at the side of my bed, I decided destroy this spider colony, thereby hopefully reducing the number of these things I find inside my place. I took a cardboard tube (like what posters get shipped in) as well as a can of pesticide and went to town. After about 15-20 minutes of slaughtering these things, I'm proud to say my back porch looks much better. And the closet I was so afraid to open, well, there weren't very many webs at all so that wasn't too bad. But man, some of these things were seriously huge! It was a bizarre mix of garden spiders, big brown house spiders, and others. I'm sure I didn't get them all, but I'll regularly check up on them to make sure they don't get too comfortable. And when winter comes, if I'm still here, I'll do a much more thorough cleaning since there should be fewer of them around.

Good for you. You've conquered your fears. In America...first you get the spiders, then you get the power, then you get the women.

Oh, so then I have women in my future? Awesome! But first I have to get the power, huh.

Yes, as strange as it seems. Only thing that keeps me away from spiders is webs. But unlike any other bug I hate the feeling of a spider crawling on me, especially the big ones with furry legs. But throw a june bug on me, and I actually like the feeling of it crawling on me, it feels awesome.

If you ever see an osage orange at the supermarket, pick one up. They are not an edible orange, they just sit on a shelf or wherever you put them and they deter spiders. They've worked for me.

Suposely they also hate colors, get about 25 different color of spray paint and do some wall art.
Warning: people may look at you weird after this.

Just make sure it's really hard.. I mean easy to remove, so you can offer to clean it off.
