The Newbies Guide to Sigs and Avatars

Well youve just registered and you want to know,"Hey! Whats a sig and whats an avatar? Well In this guide I'll tell you.
Avatars:
An avatar is a picture beside your post like of a car or something that fits your personality. How do you get one? You simply post a thread in the graphics request forum. What do I say in this thread?
Colors:
Images: (ideas or links to images)
Feel: (grunge, abstract, vector, etc.)
Main Text:

Also rember an avatar is about 100x100 pixels so you don't want any text on your avatar that is really long. When somebody makes you an avatar you do a right ckick on it and then click save picture as... MAKE SHURE YOU HAVE SAVED IT TO THE FOLDER CALLED "My Pictures". Then you have it stoired to your computer. Go into your user control panel and click on edit avatar settings. You don't have to host this image it can be directly uploaded off of your computer and you will still have the image saved on your computer. Once in edit avatar settings click on the button browse. Your pictures should pop up if your pictures folder dosent pop up then click on the bar above the folder your in select "My Documents" a few folders down you should see "My Pictures" double click on that folder. It should come up some pictures they're in alphabetic order so if you saved your image as avy it should be in the a section. Once you find your avatar double click on it a url should be in the the bar beside the browse button. Now click submit changes. When you start posting you should have an avatar that everybody can see.
Extra On avatars:You can host your avatar also. If you don't know what an image hosting company is then keep it simple and follow this guide.
Sigs:

Sigs are short for signatures, and theyre usually about the size of three avatars.
How to get a sig: Usually they are in the same request thread as your avatar and they usually match your avatar in style but its all up to you, also in some forums its considered spam to create two threads so try not to. Once somebody makes you a sig you have to host it REMBER SAVE IT TO YOUR PICTURES SO IT WILL BE EASY TO FIND. Some good host are Yoxio and Photobucket there are plenty more places, just pick the one you like. Now get an image hoster picked out you might have to go through a regastration process so register there and at the bottom of the page you should see a little bar that says "Browse" click it. It should take you to your pictures, now click the image of your sig twice then your pictures should disaper and a thing like C:/My Pictures/Your Name/blah should be in that bar. Click submit, it should be beside the browse button. It should thake you to view your sig. Write the url down. Now go to your controls (on this forum) and write down the url in the "Edit Signature" box. Then at the begining you wright [IMG] and at the end you wright [/IMG*] But remove the star. Now you have a cool signature and a bit more respect at the forums.
