Britain and the U.S. are trying to build a new strategy to exit Iraq that could see British troops leaving the country by Christmas, a newspaper reported citing a government memo written by the defense secretary.

The Mail on Sunday reported that British Defense Secretary John Reid drafted a secret paper for Prime Minister Tony Blair outlining how most of the country's 8,500 troops could be sent home from Iraq within three months, with the rest by the end of the year.

The document also said the U.S. was looking to cut back its own troop levels to 66,000, down from the 135,000 there now.

But in a statement released by Britain Defense Ministry, Reid said the document was simply one of several period updates examining possible scenarios for the war in Iraq.

"We have made it absolutely plain that we will stay in Iraq for as long as is needed," Reid said in a statement. "No decisions on the future force posture of UK forces have been taken."

Yeah, I don't believe it, especially in terms of US troops.

Yeah, I meant to say gym teacher.

Back in my days in high school...you know, the old days where I had to walk 39.4 miles (in 12 feet of snow, with no shoes) to school...school's were cheap.

The gym teacher was usually the sex ed teacher, too. But sex ed took place of gym and only for about a month of the school year.

Oh, the gym teacher was also usually the remedial math teacher, too.

Everyone should be as multi-faceted as my high school gym teachers.

It's kind of like when you have a computer teacher who's also a chemistry teacher, and also teaches history. It's like "what? you know all that?" Teacher: "I don't have to know it, I just have to teach it. "

Edit: LOL an ad titled "president bush approval"... not something you see in a sentance every day.

And does this new forum ban you from posting at any others?

Er, no. Think about it: I've been complaining for a while about the direction this forum was going, not to mention the severe lack of activity here (I'm a top 10 poster for the day, and I've only posted twice). Almost all of the posters that made this place lively and interesting either abandoned the place or post so infrequently that it's irrelevant.

That's all.

Fine.

Probably should have at least told us rather than just saying "Done with AF" or "I've found another forum"

Well that sucks. The reason this forum is lacking activity is exactly because of that: people leaving. I still think traffic would of doubled if I would of sticked with a custom skin, but that's over.

I'm not to sure. It's the content. The people that keep people here. Not the wallpaper.

I was not to long ago frequenting a message board that was hard to follow and read but I always went there because I liked the people and topics.
It was one of those message boards/forums that looked like folders and sub folders. They have since changed their format. ;)

True, but I'm sure lot of people come here, see it's just another forum like 100's of others, and just move on.
