My computer is being evil. It won't install the drivers right.. I think I might have to get a new graphics card. If anyone think they can help me, leave a response.

Everytime I try to install a driver, or part of it, it'll say 'cannot be found' or whatever.. It's usually a .vxd file, or a .vxl

And it's driving me nuts >.< I usually can do things like this by myself, but this one is beyond me. :/ Help!

Well after hearing on MSN that you only have 32MB of ram or something like that, I think you need a new computer. Your computer sounds like something I'd use as a 10mbps gateway firewall. :D If there's PCI slots in it I would put a 100mbps nic, but not like the cpu could keep up anyway. :P

It's 64 MB, but it's the only thing I have right now.

I've fixed most of it, I just need to know why it's not going to 256 colors, and anything beyond 640x480 resolution.

It says something's wrong with the PCI adapter thingy for audio. I'm trying to figure out where I can download the driver/any other drivers that will bring the resolution back to normal and the color.

Because the motherboard probably does not support PCI. :P J/K

But seriously though I would not bother trying to fix that, convince you're parants that PC is so 2002, and needs to be replaced. No wait, that's more like 2000. :o

I found this thing called Everest.. it's pretty neat. It's telling me everything and anything about what drivers are on the computer.. it's not helping, though.

Already tried convincing my parents. They were going to get a Mac.. with only 2 gigs of space. So I'm trying to fix this.

Macs are cool and all, but not compatible with anything, unfortunatly the only way is to stay on the dark side and get a PC with microsith windows.

Not to mention a whole PC system can be built for less then 500 bucks, in the states, while a mac runs at a few thousand, and can't be upgraded much.

Do you think you can help with the problem though? I can't switch it from 640x480 resolution or 16 colors. >.< I've been working on it for 8+ hours.

Please? >.<
