I watched it today. It still doesn't really compare to the original trilogy, but it's much better than the other two prequels.

I heard they are going to digitize the fight scene between Vader and Obi-Wan in 'A New Hope', since jedi don't fight so boringly(limitations of previous technology).

you mean those fight scenes are real right now? Figured most of the starwars movies were digitalized.

I found it to be quite disappointing and lame. I thought Episode 2 was better.

I saw Episode 3 this weekend. It was a good special effects movie but there were several plot points which could have been better served by less flashy effects and more explination.
For one General Grievous.. Ok I know that he was a mainstay in the cartoon which aired on Cartoon Network (Clone Wars) but, in the movie itself he was just "there" no explination of who he was or why a thing that's mostley robot seems to have a coughing problem.
Secondly I feel that there were some forced things such as Chewbacca knowing Yoda (it's kinda like Anikan building C3PO).. Also it was brought to my attention that in A New Hope ObiWan says "I can't seem to remember ever owning a droid". Though R2D2 was never HIS droid it seems to me that he would have recognized his old apprintices droid for what it was.
On the other hand I think that the acting was superior in this movie when compared to the acting in Episode 1 and 2. ObiWan was done very "sir alec Guiness-ly"
I think the end was a little too humanizing for Vader
These are just my opinions on the movie.
Overall it's a good movie whereas the orgionals were great movies

Just saw it. It was a helluva lot better than that piece of shite Episode 1. Haven't seen Episode 2, and don't really feel compelled to see it, but Ep. 3 was good. Of course, the original trilogy is still the best.

I need to find the time to see it. Ahhhhhhh I want to see it bad. Even if I just decide to watch the crappy quality DVD I have here, still need 2 hours of my parants being gone, and that's rare. (or I can turn it super low, but that ain't a movie you want to play on low
)

I saw it last week, and after 28 years now I know how Dart Vader was born
A great film as conclusion of the first (second . . boh
) trilogy
btw: in italy Dart Vader is called Lord Dart Fener . . . I don't know why

I haven't seen it yet, but i've heard about wookies swinging from tree-vines and raising hell, which really appeals to me for some reason.
I heard the story left plot holes and all, but really after 6 movies with a fan base like star wars, there will be tons of people nitpicking the movie looking for problems, and it's not like star wars is the most intricate script.
I didn't enjoy the new ones that much either however. I will definitely wait for DVD on this one.

+1
It's good, seemingly, because it deals more with the Star Wars Universe(the political and social environment) rather than personal issues so much, as the first 2 did to build the characters. It did make the first 2 seem a little out of place, since they focused so much on people, and ep. 3-6 more with everything(it was hard to pick out the lead character in those movies). Overall, I liked it, but was disappointed in a few areas. Like sintekk, I think the original 3 were the best, before Greedo shot first

I started watching it but could not finish it because my mom got home and she's fussy about how loud things are, etc... and I like playing movies loud on my speakers.
So far it's good, but why oh why did they have to shove the whole love scene thing in a sci fi movie?!

It's not that the love scenes are in a sci-fi movie. It's that the love scenes suck serious ARSE.

That too.
The movie could do without it, and it would be an hour and a half, and still be good, if better.

Nah don't worry, I'm not that type of person. Wait till you see the part where yoda gets killed by R2D2, man that robot has bawls, but then again, it was controlled by the sith all this time.

LOL, LIES! I SAW THE TRILOGY! Yoda doesn't get killed by R2D2. R2D2 gets killed by Yoda, then evolves into a super android, and comes back with a coughing problem. He has lung cancer due to smoking, but since he wanted to make something of himself, he wanted to kill the most powerful Jedi! So, he went out and bought a Star Wars online game, and played it for endless hours. Since he was a robot, he could hack into his computer, and get all the best equipment for his modded character. Then he went out to get something to eat, and returned with a Red R2D2, and they got it on like robots! Of course, R2D2 had do de-evolve himself in order to go out, so it only took a few seconds for him to do that. But, he never called the red R2D2 back, so the red R2D2 swore revenge on the only man she loved.. and this begins Star Wars Episode VII: Revenge of the Helper Droids!
