Hopefully I get approved. I'll need it to register another domain soon, and to renew existing ones. (well AF is the only due one) I hate using my mom's since she get's all freaked out and stuff. 128bit SSL just ain't good enough for her.
I'm scared I don't get approved though, I don't really have a steady income. I mean, I obviously won't use it if I don't have the money but it's just policy I guess, since some would use it in bad financial situations.
But if I do, it will be fun to have a CC.

You could always just get a checking account with a debit card. Most banks offer one that works just like a credit card and they really don't care what your financial situation is as long as you don't over draw. Personally I think it's a better way to go since you don't have to worry about possibly ruining your credit or getting shafted with interest rates.

Yeah we don't have that here. I wish we did it would be way better.
But at least with a CC I can build credit, since I'll probably need that when I want to apply for a mortgage or something.

Careful with that now. Dont go to crazy. Getting behind with CC payments will probably always be something I'll be paranoid about.

Yeah, well that's the problem with allot of people. It won't happen to me since I'll pay the bill completely every time I get it.

Did you get a good limit on it or is it a low one for students?

Not sure yet, I'll know once I'm approved, they probably set it based on your status, so I'll probably get a low limit, but as long as it slowly goes up, I'm good. All I really need is a few 100 bucks. I'll use it to register/renew domains, and in the future, dedicated hosting, which will require about a hundred per month.

I do it with my discover card. I pay it off every month. I'd pay my monthly mortgage with it if they'd let me. Every monthy bill I have gets put on the card if possible. I get a percentage back on every charge. Discover must hate me.

Did not even get a phone call yet. Takes about 2-3 weeks they said. Thing is, I hope it won't be a long distance number because those never get answered here. Well unless it says "visa" or something then I'll know.

Erolyn seems to be mildly back.
I *squee!* with excitement.
And I don't *squee!* often, my friends. :þ

WOOT! Just got it in the mail, so that means I got accepted.
Anyone want to go shopping with me? J/K
I got a $1,000 limit, which is pretty decent, given I'll be using far less then that, but it's good to have that extra just in case.
Still need to call to get it activated though, it keeps transfering me to this busy line after having to enter the number.

Yeah I maxed it out real good and gave it to a criminal. He can pay it off if he wants to use it.
