Something I value that encompasses several of the choices you gave is my relationships. First, my relationship with Jesus Christ, which started when I asked Him to take away my sins and become the Lord of my life. Secondly, my relationship with my wife and children, which provides a constant tangible source of love and companionship to me. And thirdly, my relationships with my friends, who not only socialize with me, but have also, at times, confronted me about things that need improving in my life.

I value my salvation, and the fact that I live in a good country, have a house, food, etc. Those are the essentials. As non essentials I value technology since it's my life. (so I guess it is essential.
)

One thing I forgot to mention, one thing I value in my life is the fact that I'm still alive, even after my rough childhood with high voltage experiments. (and I don't think I ever mentioned that time I made a super hazardous liquid by mixing already hazardous stuff together)

Actually not really, I just used to mix stuff and see what happends. I loved chemistry class though.
But in terms of science electrical is more my thing. I sort of got out of it though, it would be hard now since the basement is done, but before it was just a big empty space and I had it all to myself. I wish I knew about tesla coils then... oh I'd so build one now if I had a place to work on it. (and use it)

Science was ruined for me by a crap teacher who wore tea cosies on her head and wears a shiny brown jacket. She used to spell out every second word. I hate her.
I would like to mix dangerous things and then set it on fire.

So probably by the end of the semester, the teacher was like "OK that concludes Chapter One. We did not get to cover anything, but you are still responsible to know it for the test. Do I have to spell it out for you?"

I had lot of teachers like that. We had to teach ourselves. Got to give them a break though especially if they're not qualified to be teaching, I can't expect them to know everything.
(and I should not expect them to be my teacher either. LOL)
