I say a week. Mind you they'll talk about it in passing for years to come, but give it a week before people's interests shift back to Michael Jackson or something.

Well we've still got another 6 days for JP2 then the Cardinals will go into concave and it will be a vigil out side with all cameras trained on the chimney, then the new lad will be elected and then it'll die down.
Could still be a couple of weeks left.

Speaking of news coverage, President Bush must love this, it may be the first time in 5 years there has not been attention on him. Congress is acting as the Republican platform and social issues are trumping political ones as far as media coverage. I bet it is a breath of fresh air.

Bush is probably thinking.
"This is great, why can't it happen more often?"

Well, a month has gone by, and I think the coverage is pretty much winding down. Did anyone put a bid on the pope's car that was on sale on E-bay?

Well the current pope may die soon, he looks just as old, so we'll see how long the coverage will be then.
