Since suicide seems to be the in thing lately, what do you think is the best method? And the best excuse so I can put it in my resu... I mean suicide letter? Also any resource sites on properly formatting a suicide letter would be great.

well first you have to make sure the ones you love dont feel blame for it unless you want to put the guilt trip on a specific one, then a living will then apoligize for you actions but you had not other choise provided and give a good blood splater on the bottom of it over you sig.

Hmm blood, blood is always good in a death. For sure it needs to involve blood. And I need to target someone specific for the guilt trip thing. Maybe Microsoft.

Make sure your letter is grammatically correct and there's no spelling mistakes. Nothing worse than incomprehensible suicide notes.

No, you're right.....it's not......but I've been pretty down before and I wish there had of been people around to make fun of me about it so as to smarten me up......it's not funny....it's not an answer....it's not a way out. So if you're thinking about it really.....hold on....it'll get better....this too shall pass.

It's like the nazis. Everybody thought they were horrible, and I agree with this, but I think Hogan's Heroes is HILLARIOUS!

Speaking of nazis for some odd reason we were talking about how it would be if hilter tought math. He'd show how to find the answer and point to it "This is the final solution".

But would someone who had his family killed by the Nazis think Hogan's Heroes is hilarious. I don't think so. Just last month, the son of one of my co-workers committed suicide, so maybe I'm just a bit oversensitive to the joking. There may be other visiters to the forum for whom suicide may be a sensitive subject, and I just hate for us to look so insensitive by our joking, that's all.

that is a good point, But knowing red and the context it is in to people who know him it red being silly, but IMHO most things will offend someone at some point in time so everything on the web should be taken witha grain of salt.

On another note, I don't think anything is taboo as far as joking or comedy is concerned. Some of the stuff we've talked about in the suicide thread, for instance, I think is hilarious.

This isn't a suicide support forum...if someone truly needed or needs help, they should go elsewhere. Unless some of you guys have qualifications I don't know about, I don't think anyone on here is equipped to handle someone who was truly suicidal?

People who are truly suicidal can't be talked out of it by being "nice" to them, etc. And someone can't be talked into suicide by being "mean" to them. You guys can hate me and be mean to me all you want and I promise you I'm not gonna go suck face with a tailpipe because of it. ;D

It's usually a severe mental issue, perhaps even requiring medication. People coming here seeking help are actually just seeking attention. And for the reasons stated above, I don't believe you could truly help someone in the atmosphere of a general chat forum.

I mean, GG for instance...not to pick on him or anything... His own frickin sister comes to these forums and has seen his posts? If she's not doing anything about it (like telling the parents about his intentions) then why should we be concerned? She knows his well-being far better than any of us do.

And his reasons for "suicide" are always BS. "I dropped my ice cream now I must die a painful death by my own hand, please help me."

At first, I was mildly nice to the kid...after a while, it just got to be annoying for me. And now I find it funny? Sue me.

My grandfather killed himself, btw. He was in the military and had lots of pain from it, mentally and physically.

I guess the short version of what I'm saying here is...if you TRULY think someone here (presently or in the future) is suicidal, you shouldn't be trying to solve it by giving them kindly "advice" or being "nice" to them. That's not going to help someone that's truly suicidal.

You should point them in the direction of places and people that can truly help them. Not AF.

Another good point is that someone who is offended easily should not frequent general chat sites. I might take offense at something and even mention that I took offense at something, but in the end, you have to just let it roll off your back or leave the site.

Making jokes out of suicide is plain ignorance. It is nothing to joke about! Wouldn't you all feel like crap if GG's sister came on and posted he killed himself. Maybe that is his way of crying for help. Maybe it makes him feel better to vent about things and talk about it. Maybe he is doing it for attention, who cares. Have some common sense though, suicide is not joke. I lost a good friend in high school to suicide. Sorry I think some of this posting about it sucks and if you have been through a situation with suicide it hurts to read all the crap.

And GG if you just making this a joke and not feeling like committing suicide, that's realy impressive, shut up and grow the f*ck up.
