I have not tried that version yet but I've heart of others updating with no issues. If you have not try updating to the latest version of razor.

Ok, weird, I convert back to the OLD version of Razor and it lets me get to the log in screen (where I'm stuck at Verifying account) but the new one won't even let me get to the log in screen, it just shows that the UO client has failed and needs to close.

Someone on the razor forums suggested I use ConnectUO Desktop so I'm going to try it.

Do you play on other servers or have any custom UO files in your installation? Is it the ML or older client? The new KR client does not work with RunUO servers as far as I know. It sounds like something has a version issue or there is a corrupted file somewhere within your UO or Razor programs.
My best suggestion would be to make a backup copy of your UO and Razor folder. Completely uninstall both and delete the folders to make sure you don't have any remnants of customized uo.cfg files or odd desktop profiles. Then, download and install the UO Mondain's Legacy client and patch it up (the patch servers still work, but it is rumored that they won't for much longer). Reinstall Razor again.
Try logging in again.
Download the UO:ML client legally here:

Also to rule out any 3rd party apps, try connecting directly with just the client. You will need to edit your login.cfg file in the UO folder for the server to be uosrv.uovalor.com and port 1337. Backup the OSI one or comment it out before doing this change.
And KR currently will not work here. Once ML is mostly done and that KR is out of beta, I may look into making it work here, but not something to count on. It only supports clillocs so any custom name/messages etc will not work properly and maybe even crash it.

Exact error is “Failed to open ‘map1.mul’ from HD using a maximum install.Either this file is not readable, your system needs to be rebooted, or the file does not exist and you either need to reinstall or switch to a non-maximum install.”
