Anyone play any instruments? And guitar and piano don't count.

I play the baritone saxophone, and I'm pretty good if I do say so myself. :D

I attempted to learn the cornet in grade school, but the instrument would never do what I told it to.

Well if you tried to ply it by talking to it, I could imagine where you would run into difficulty. :P

Actually, I couldn't tell the difference between notes as I played them. I could tell they were different notes, but I had no idea which notes.

:o Those are only like the main instruments in our society today. They are the most versatile, universal and infinite in their capacity for new sounds and directions, they are timeless. I know they are common but come on, isn't that saying something? (NOT "they are easy to learn!")

I only said that because it seems like everyone and their brother knows how to play one and/or the other.

i played the trombone for a couple of years, and was pretty good compared to the rest of the kids. i stopped in about 7th grade, cause it was just taking up too much time. wasnt really my style either, i wish i had learnt guitar or something.

So did I! :P I’ve forgotten how to play though. I would really like to learn how to play the violoncello and piano (in that order). There are more of course, but those are what I really, really want to learn.

EDIT: I didn’t even answer the question! No, I currently play no instruments. :(

Actually now that I remember in 4th grade (I think) I played the flute, but it was part of music class so it was pretty much forced. And you know how it is at that age with "cooties" it was a big thing lol. Then in grade 7/8 I played the clarinette but found it was too complicated (never knew what I was doing lol) so I moved to the trumpet which was easier. :D

Now, I would not mind learning an instrument like guitar but it's not something I'm super interested in to spend money. I can produce music with the computer anyway, though it's always better when you can actually play the instrument. :)

I play the baritone saxophone in jazz band and the tenor in our concert band class i play tenor (i own an alto but i don't play it much) the tenor is easily my favorite, even though i only play it during concert band and therefore get all the boring oompa-doompa parts.

Guitar and piano don't count???

But those are the best ones!

I played trombone when I was in middle school and then drums for awhile, but they both sucked. So I quit. Or else I sucked, I don't remember. ^_^

I've been playing piano for about 15 years, and guitar for about 9, but those don't count. :(

Oh, and I still play drums a little, and the harmonica, and occassionally the skin flute. :D
