Anyone play any instruments? And guitar and piano don't count.
I play the baritone saxophone, and I'm pretty good if I do say so myself.

I attempted to learn the cornet in grade school, but the instrument would never do what I told it to.

Well if you tried to ply it by talking to it, I could imagine where you would run into difficulty.

Actually, I couldn't tell the difference between notes as I played them. I could tell they were different notes, but I had no idea which notes.

Those are only like the main instruments in our society today. They are the most versatile, universal and infinite in their capacity for new sounds and directions, they are timeless. I know they are common but come on, isn't that saying something? (NOT "they are easy to learn!")

I only said that because it seems like everyone and their brother knows how to play one and/or the other.

i played the trombone for a couple of years, and was pretty good compared to the rest of the kids. i stopped in about 7th grade, cause it was just taking up too much time. wasnt really my style either, i wish i had learnt guitar or something.

So did I!
I’ve forgotten how to play though. I would really like to learn how to play the violoncello and piano (in that order). There are more of course, but those are what I
really, really want to learn.
EDIT: I didn’t even answer the question! No, I currently play no instruments.

Actually now that I remember in 4th grade (I think) I played the flute, but it was part of music class so it was pretty much forced. And you know how it is at that age with "cooties" it was a big thing lol. Then in grade 7/8 I played the clarinette but found it was too complicated (never knew what I was doing lol) so I moved to the trumpet which was easier.
Now, I would not mind learning an instrument like guitar but it's not something I'm super interested in to spend money. I can produce music with the computer anyway, though it's always better when you can actually play the instrument.

I play the baritone saxophone in jazz band and the tenor in our concert band class i play tenor (i own an alto but i don't play it much) the tenor is easily my favorite, even though i only play it during concert band and therefore get all the boring oompa-doompa parts.

Guitar and piano don't count???
But those are the best ones!
I played trombone when I was in middle school and then drums for awhile, but they both sucked. So I quit. Or else I sucked, I don't remember.
I've been playing piano for about 15 years, and guitar for about 9, but those don't count.
Oh, and I still play drums a little, and the harmonica, and occassionally the skin flute.
