Though I kinda appreciate what looks like a tougher stance on spam, but was there really anything wrong with the
old rules that warranted a completely new set? I think it would be a better idea to modify andor copy the old rules to the new rules page, rather than writing a completely new list.
Or is this new set simply designed to be a simplified version of the old ones? Aside from the spam bit, all the new rules are repeated in the old. If that's the case there probably should be a link back the the more verbose version.

Yeah I decided to change them to be much more simplelistic and rely more on common sense. For example if someone has sig 2 feet long and everyone complains, well the member would be PMed, sig removed etc, instead of having a low limit where if you're 1 pixel off it's against the rules.
I had a few people tell me the rules were too complex and legalese, and I had to agree, just never got around to actually changing them till last night when I redid the home page.

ok, that's cool. Just as long as there is only 1 set of rules, it should be fine
Thanks.

The author of the first one is considerately reader-friendly, whereas the author of the second one doesn't know the difference between letters and numbers, and likely failed a kindergarten level spelling test five years past the appropriate age of administration.
