There seems to be a bug with this. I'm assuming it should work similarly to what is on demise. Players resist paralyse after being eo.

Yeah thats intentional, to me this is a design flaw, and should not be doable. People waste 100 skill points for magic resist so they don't get paralyzed, so it should be made worthwhile. ;)

Magic Resist also reduces the affect of other spells, mainly curse like spells. So when reducing someones MR with EO, these spells should do more, like mana drain. Does this mean you will be taking out the MR affect from EO?

Nah it was just done for paralyze. Basically paralyze now falls in the same context as para blow, if its spammed it can also be resisted, and if you're evil omened it basically calls up the same function as when you get paralyzed, so it makes it resistable.

I've seen tons of people complain about EO+para, so this only does a favor.

a 3 year old can kill someone using EO+para.

If you haven't noticed, this isn't pre-aos. "Trip boxes" do a helluva lot more damage now, where they didn't do damage before. I had brought this idea up before and then I saw how much damage they were doing.

So, EO, para, explo, mb + the trap damage = dead anyway.

Evil - omen paralyze is a highly abused tactic. It removed the use of getting resist spells to avoid paralyze, not to mention it's a very cheap method of winning (Similar to the famous riding swipe chain bug or ki arrow bugs back in the day).

Also, as a person who used to pvp without resist spells for that exact purpose (Absolutely meaningless due to that tactic), I have made use of trapped pouches and lesser poison potions. These work but are not entirely effective. Poison potions take seconds before they kick in and explosion pouches can range in damage from 10 - 35 damage which is rather dangerous when mage comboes are involved.

It would be nice if they worked on mobs tho. I'm sure that could be a bit tricky to code, so it's not a big deal. Just woulda been helpful in the beginning :P

Ya that might be a little tricky but paralyze fields still work nicely.

Your opinion counts and it's nice to see players pointing out the things they might be dissatisfied with. The reason it was changed to this method is that many people found this to be bad pvp tactic and a waste of points towards resist spells. However, times change. I think for the most part, players are in favor of that fix, and don't miss it all that much. You can try making a poll or gather opinions on evil omen + paralyze from the players. If a majority of players feel it should be brought back then we can work to put it back in. As this is a shard built for the players, there would need to be enough players in favor of this.
