I'm currently working on modifying barding skills so I can incorporate them into the monster AI. Basically I'm making it so it auto picks an instrument so when you go to use a skill it auto finds and uses the instrument in your pack. It will do this for monsters as well, making it easier to code the rest.
I also have to make barding skills work on players (peace, provoc, disco) if its a mob thats using it. Will NOT work if a player uses it though. Otherwise everyone would be making disco peace pvp mages.

What's wrong with the Serpentine Dragon code? O.o
And if you made it automatically choose a random instrument, does that mean when a slayer instrument is selected, it will get deselected?

One thing about peacemaking in PvP that I might mention. If you peace yourself, it is supposed to break any combat towards you and make players retarget and attack you. However, you would not be able to actively peace a player directly.

Yeah I had forgotten about that, I'll be sure to make it still work that way, but if a creature is the one inflicting peace, then it will actually peace, as in freeze. But I'll probably cap it for players, and base bard difficulty for players will be higher, and also affected by the player's bard skills. So a bard would get like 160 bard difficulty while a non bard would get maybe around 80ish.

Could base it off a combination of bard skill and intelligence or something.

Peacemaking and Disco now work. For those who want to test go to TC1 and do [add hirebard, and [setskill magery 0 (to force it to use bard skills) and attack it as a player. You can also do [set debug true on it to get debug info.
Provocation still needs work but it should work by the end of tonight.

How will provocation work in relation ot a hired bard?
Will they be able to be told what mode to work in? Give commands like "Hiredbard Disco" or "Hiredbard Peace". Or do they just do there own thing as they feel like it as they follow you around?

Yeah they'll do their own thing, but I could also make different types of bards, so full blown bards, or just peacers, discorders, etc. They also have low magery so they'll be casting spells most of the time and throwing a bard skill in here and there.
Also if you pick an instrument such as a slayer one, it will stick to that one. It will only auto pick if you did not choose one yet. (ex: when you get the message asking to pick one). This makes it so monsters don't have to select an instrument.

The bard stuff in the AI is fully operational. I'm hoping to put in this update tonight some time along with other updates.
