Old Forum Archive

In case some tried /forumsa and noticed it was not working, it's because I had forgotten about that database, and I could not get the backup to work for some reason, through that board, but I realized there was ssh so I did it that way and retrieved the database and restored it on my LAN copy of the AF site and all is working. Instead of making the archive database driven I figured I'd make it all static pages to avoid this problem in the future, since it's an archive so as static pages there will be less issue caused by php configuration and stuff like that.
So far so good, I have httrack running and it seems to be spidering the right stuff and making it link locally and not externally so it will be standalone. (no need to keep external graphics).
Once it's all done spidering I'll update on the status but so far everything is going well. Not sure if forum attachments will work or not though I'll have to wait till it gets that deep in the linking.
The only problem I see now though is that I found out a few days ago that linux file systems have file limits because of inodes, so hopefully this won't be too much of a problem... there's already nearly 2000 spidered files.
