Hey, just curious if anybody has any experience with this "about:blank" shite? I've got this little bugger on my computer and can not for the life of me get rid of it. It resets my home page to about:blank.com almost everytime I restart and it won't let me open up my yahoo account either. What the ?
If anyone has any advice please advise. Thanks.

Sounds like a hijack... First fix it using hijackthis, then switch to a non IE browser so it does not happen again.
For hijack this just put it in google and it should bring you to the download page. I can't check right now since my ISP's DNS server is down again. I only have a small reserve of IPs for sites I visit regularly.

I found these instructions on a webpage:
Simple fix
run ad-aware and delete all finds
reboot in safe mode
go to c/windows/system 32
Delete jdkgj.dll
reboot normally
Re-run ad-aware and delete all finds
reboot normally
Fixed.

Sweet, thanks guys. I'll give those a try tonight. Hopefully that will clear up my little illness.
Any suggestions for a non IE browser? What am I thinking? What are your suggestions for a non IE browser?

ad-aware might not get rid of this depending on which strain of the about:blank trojan hijacker you caught.
look up adware-away. that will get rid of all these pesky about:blank variants as well as the majorly nasty cool web search (CWS).

it tis be shareware with a 5 day free trial, but you could try to uninstall/reinstall when needed... or you could shell out the 30 bucks for it.
