What branch of the military do you currently serve? I am 17 and a high school senior and I am currently enrolled with the Ohio Army National Guard's early enlistment program.

Not serving here either. While it would be kind of cool just to know exactly how it's like and to experience it, I would probably pass if I was asked to, unless it was something safe like reparing tanks in a garage or something of that sort. Or making bombs.

I've never served, but my father was in the army during the Korean War. Anyone else with a parent who was in the military?

If I put my safety at risk I put everyone's safety at risk.
Especially if I'm driving a large plane or something.
I rest my case!
And I may be wrong, but I don't think the real American way of looking at war is sacrificing your life. You still want to come back alive, unlike the terrorist bastards that take their own life just to kill others such as those suicide bombers.
But of course you have to be willing to take the risks involved.

As Gen. Patton once said, "No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."
