Has anyone here ever ridden a dogsled? I'm reading a book about dogsledding and I think it would be really cool. Well, cold, actually.

I don’t think I could stand making those dogs pull me. It would make me feel very cruel.

But still…
I could get some children to take their places.

I never riden one, suprisingly being Canadian.
Would be fun though, but the ski-doo is probably what replaced that, and makes much more pollution.

OK OK, a dogsled is pretty unlikely. Has anyone ridden in a submarine, a hot-air ballon, or on a camel?

I've been in the Nautilus Sub in the States, does that count?

Sure, but for the hot-air balloon, it has to be a ride.

And while I'm asking questions, has anyone gone hang-gliding, sky-diving, or bungee jumping?

I've Been on a hot air balloon. It's quite fun if you ask me. Takes forever to get back down unlike a plane.

I actually prefer the planes I'm on to take their time getting down. Not that I fly very often, only 4 or 5 times in my life. I've only ridden a train once.

I've been in a couple of subs, but not while they were travelling underwater, just docked or frozen in carbonite!
I really want to go skydiving, I was going to do that for my last birthday, but I went to Vegas instead (hadn't been there either).
A hotair ballon sounds fun, but I'd rather be in a plane I think. No to the bungie-jumping. I have no interest in that. And a camel would be neat (did you know camels are native, or were, to North America?) I think, going back to skydiving, that basejumping would be a lot of fun as well!
Anyone ever para-sailed?

I'd like to bungee jump off a hot air baloon, then unhook the rope and sky dive from there. Now THAT would be fun, assuming it occurs at the right altitude, and with a good working parachute.
I also seen on a show where they sky dived with a counch, car and other stuff. It just spins like crazy.
Anything with hights is fun. I've never tried any of that though... very expensive. I've never been in a plane either. With the price of flying now, it would almost be cheaper to build a small plane or hot air baloon and fly it myself, and less chance of terrorists that way.
The most exciting thing I've been on is a train.
Well a subway. It was kind of cool actually. The highest I've been is in the CN tower, but from what I remember, when you're in it, it does not seem as high as when you're looking up at it. It almost seems as if you're slightly higher then the buildings. But it was fun, and I'd love to bungee jump off of it too.

I used to think I wanted to skydive, but then a friend of mine was going and invited me along, and I chickened out. I also used to think that I wanted to fly a helicopter, but I'd be satisfied now with just a ride in one.

driving a planne or helicopter would be awesome. But I'd want to actually ride in one first.

has anyone else ever seen the water in middle of the Atlantic 2,000 miles out or so? It has a beautiful deep purple that far out away from the pollution near the populated land.
edit: for what it is worth, I can add that I have ridden through a hurricane before (already discussed that here before), or more accurately we steered directly into the heart of a hurricane at flank bell.

Actually I've been on a big boat (Titanic type cruise but like half the size) and it was a nice experience. But we were not far at sea, just on a huge lake. I was wandering around too much and ended up in the boiler room and though "crap I don't think I'm suppost to be here" then I turned around and walked into a bar and thought the same, then went back on the main deck before I get in trouble.

I've not been 2,000 miles out, but probably 800 or so. Still, that was in the Gulf of Mexico, which just swirls and stirs up dirt anyway. The bluest waters I saw of the caymens would probably pail in compairison to that.
