I'm interested in genealogy. Has anyone traced their family history and found some famous relatives? My wife has been told she is related (I'm sure very distantly) to one of the King Georges of England.

ive always wanted to trace my father's family (i have never met any of them and he hasnt spoken to any of them for over 40 yrs). I'm not quite sure where to start and i'm not sure whether or not it would be a good or bad move.

There is also a small chance that I come from the same line as the historical William Wallace. :D

I'm descended from John Adams. Apparently his son, John Q. Adams, had like 22 kids. Weirdness.

That's neat, he had some great ideas on government!

Here's some stuff I believe he wrote that is why our version of government works best. He studied other governments and philosophies to come to this conclusion, something I wish our leaders would have the desire and drive to do.

It's kinda funny you said that, because in 8th grade we did American History, and I remember when we talked about John Adams and John Q. Adams, my teacher basically said that they were both terrible compared to the presidents that came before and after them. And I felt really bad, and kept wondering why I couldn't have been descended from Thomas Jefferson, instead. :P

But thanks for the link :)

Haha, yeah, I can see how a teacher would say that, and I guess if the Presendency is your determining factor, then yeah. But he helped father our country, and understood the true idea of America, and not the bastardized version it tends to become...
