There's a good deal on a ram chip here
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-145-440&depa=0
but i don't know if it will work in my dell dimension 8250, if anyone has a good guess weather it would work that'd be great.
(that and i don't want to pay over $300 by buying from the dell website)

Can't see why not, assuming the dell board uses that type of ram.
Man I wish I could get quality memory for that price here. That's what I have to pay for generic memory.

I'm not sure that memory will work. What you want to be looking for is PC800 RDRAM (you can use PC1066 if you have the 533MHz FSB model, but the PC800 will work with either model.)
RDRAM is a bit more expensive, but you're kinda stuck with it if you have a motherboard that uses it. And if that weren't bad enough, 16-bit RDRAM has to be installed in pairs...

I am sure that memory won't work, if you posted the right link.
It's rdram only. Time for a complete upgrade maybe?
