Which Stealth game series is your favorite

Mine is definitely metal gear. I love the in depth stories they always had and the way the game flows. I don't like the hiding in the shadows of splinter cell. i like the line of sight from metal gear where you're totally hidden or you're caught. Overall i didn't really like the gameplay of splinter cell (i only played the first one).
The tenchu games are ok for a change once in a while but they're only so so.
