how's the band going?

It's goin'... finally. It comes in cycles, and every cycle it gets more serious. We are finishing up two new songs, buying new guitar equipment/cymbals, and planning on having everything ready to gig professionally as on Aug 1st. We developed a plan that would allow us to start delivering our product consistantly and record the album we wanted to within our means.

That all begins Aug 1st. We have a show in Corpus Aug. 6th, one in Dallas late august, and one here in Austin on September 23rd I believe. Money has been the only factor really, as our ability increases, so does our need for reliable equipment. Things are going well, but right now it's the calm before the storm.

How are things up there? Wet? I'm going to Vegas next month, I here you're headed that way?

we hope to do vegas soon, but unfortunately, we had to put it off...however, i am planning a trip to austin towards the beginning of july.

do you have anything new recorded that i could hear?

nah, we haven't really worked on recording anything, not until we can get the proper gear to record with, which is happening now. We've been working more on our live show and making all of our songs as good as they can be.

I always thought the guy from Deff Lepperd would have one hell of a powerfull left foot. Reason being, He is missing his right arm and has a special kit built to play his righthanded parts with his left foot. ..... just foot for thought..

It goes well. Since July(when this thread was started), we have started playing out of town, replaced almost all of our equipment, lost our bass player, refocused and are currently getting back in gear for a New Year's show and a festival in January.

Bass player issues involved both creative differences and personal direction, but the split was amicable. Since we have found that the remaining four of us mesh much better without him, it's amazing what a sense of cooperation will do for creative environment. Of course it's hard to find the perfect person when it's dealing with something as subjective as art. We are trying someone now, after some auditions, and getting him up to speed for the NYE show.

Other than that, recording gear is in my future(could have already been 3x over, but equipment for live performance.recording was more a priority) as well as merch, as soon as we get back out. I think that's it, or at least all that could be interesting in any way...
